Holly is a Licensed Esthetician and the Founder of both Carter Kayte Beauty Atelier® and Beyond Skin Deep®.

Holly began learning and training in her formative years with her family’s business — from counting cash and completing deposit slips, learning and understanding business and weather forecasts, to preparing financial statements and taking calculated risks. Growing up in an entrepreneurial home benefited her in more ways than merely sparking a passion as she gained critical thinking skills and real-world business knowledge and experience which ultimately shaped her into the entrepreneur she is today.

In 2006, Holly received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Mount Olive and then furthered her education in 2010 at Liberty University by receiving a Master Degree in Business Administration: Human Resources —completing the 2 year program in only 1 year.

Holly began her professional career in banking during college and after 10 years in the banking and finance arena, she decided to pursue a career in esthetics — an industry in which she could provide each of her clients with a unique one-on-one customized experience, helping each individual look and feel his or her personal best while boosting confidence and cultivating a smile culture.

While completing her Esthetics certification training at the Aveda Institute in Charlotte, NC, Holly would frequently visit Wilmington, NC to enjoy its beaches and visit with a few friends. While visiting Wilmington, she realized a market niche for an atelier focused on waxing and customized treatments.

Holly’s vision was to create an intimate boutique focused entirely on providing a comfortable and enjoyable experience, while making each guest the highest priority. Her mission is to offer the highest level of customized skin care services, while avoiding pushy sales tactics, and never compromising on the quality of services or products.

In late 2017. Holly expanded her business with a goal to create a team-based, enjoyable, and transparent work environment for her team members.

During the 2020 pandemic, Holly’s extensive research coupled with her MBA and real-world experience allowed her to provide assistance to other businesses with government funded disaster relief programs. With a passion for helping others and through her own personal development of Carter Kayte, Holly recognized a need to educate and assist individuals and entrepreneurs.

Beyond Skin Deep was founded on the premise to assist entrepreneurs with their new business startups or existing businesses. Beyond Skin Deep — an all encompassing platform  — assists individuals and businesses in navigating all facets from business creation to practical application and customer service.

Holly and her team also offers training modules for licensees in the salon/spa/wellness industries, assisting in teaching best practices and enhancing both knowledge and skill level.

In her spare time, Holly enjoys spending time with her loved ones and her two pups: Bella and Oliver. In addition, Holly enjoys traveling, boating, researching, writing, consulting, and interior design.
